I moved your off-topic post to its own thread. is your PC connected to your own residential home wifi SSID? try a smart device (apple/android) and see if that works as a test.

I’m disappointed as well. Clearly told the agent today I stream from an Apple TV. Was surprised to find out tonight that Xfin Stream app is not available on Apple TV.

My agent said you can cancel the plan within 30days. Unless the app for Apple TV launches in the next week I’ll cancel the changes to my service.

The channel played fine on the TV but it was not playing correctly on our laptops.  As of this morning the problem has gone away and COZI is once again playing correctly on TV and our laptops! Thank you.

At least you have an asterisk key. A Samsung TV remote doesn't have one. As far as I can figure,  you just have to back out and select a new channel from the guide. Even navigating the guide is slow. There is no way to page up and down. You just traverse one channel at a time. That being said, it is only a beta app that works like any other streaming service. You plow through the available content and select a show. All in all a great start.

I am ready to get rid of comcast all together because I spend ridiculous amounts of time try to navigate between channels! Glad I am not the only one!!! I also have a Samsung! Our main Sony has the Roku donut is slightly better but still a nightmare

I'm simply trying to watch my CW shows online since I don't get to watch them while at work. I came home to watch Supernatural Season 14 episode 12 Prophet and Loss and ran into the issue that the video is Pillar Boxed (black bars on the left and right of the picture) and it looks as though there are parts of the video missing. Cropped as apposed to just squeezed. A few other shows have done this in the past but resetting my cache and/or my PC always fixed it before. This is not the case today. Any ideas?

What's worse I also keep running into an error about 14 minutes in (Error player.vodStreamHeartbeat.400).

I think it depends on which channel you are streaming.  I have some channels that are in SD and others are in HD.

Please don't resight the standard bable. OS( OSX, Windows 10) Browser ( Safari, Chrome Firefox Edge) Router (TP Link TL-WDR4300)  Modem ( ARRIS  SuirfBoard  SB6190 )  All up to date. All power has been removed for ONE MINUTE PLUS all devices.

 

The problem is on all browser and Operating System.  Simply put the problem resides with Xfinity.

I reside in Panama City FL all new equipment installed as a result of Hurricane Michael. Settings on web pages are verified.

Edit: On further examination of the problem it seems to be exaggerated on CBS channel 4 in Panama City FL ( my primary ) not big on TV.

         Xfinity Speed Test Down 178.1 Mbps  Up 11.9 Mbps If you need further testing I will be glad to provide same.


streaming media in mpeg4/mpeg2 has to be received and displayed by the 'sink' (in this case a PC). if the PC for whatever reason is not able to keep up with the unencryption and sisplay/audio you see that stuttering. use any smart device to test. in the same location does the stream play normally on the smart device?

I have xfinity internet (comcast) and pay extra for xfinity stream. While I can log into my account and go to "My Xfinity" page and check my emails, and etc... I cannot stream most of the time.

 

I use a Lenovo laptop, and yes, I adjust the site settings to "Allow Flash".

 

But, if I try to stream using GOOGLE CHROME - it won't work 90% of the time.

 

I have been on the phone and chatted with support many times, and no one can help me fix this.

 

I get this:

Sorry, we're having some trouble

Xfinity Stream is not available at the moment. Please try back soon.

(Error ftde.xact.3322.1000136)

 

Please, somebody, help.

Hey Rustyben,

 

I DMed one of the Comcast employees on here and haven't heard back. No one has responded to me through this forum, and the phone guys send me back and forth without actually helping.  Do you know what I can do from here on?
