Hello,

When I attempt to log in to the "stream" site I get an error asking me to log out and log in again and the "issue" will be fixed. I've tried this on several computers, different browsers, tried clearing cache and deleting cookies. Nothing works. I'm still able to get into the Stream app for iOS but accessing the Xfinity Stream throws this login error every time.

Thanks for any ideas on how to get this working again.

It's working for me now.  Win10 Chrome.

What device/URL are you using?  We need to know more about your setup.

Notice there is no response from xfinity staff regarding this issue?  That tells me that it is an issue that they do not want to talk about.  I love my xfinity services but the streaming is the pits.

Strange.  I use the Stream website every day and I have never had this issue.

Why is the xfinity stream experience so bad?  I stream netflix, hulu, sling, individual HBO, etc and all are far superior to xfinity stream.  I can stream everything smooth as silk except Xfinty.  I suspect it has to do with Adobe Flash.  No one hardly uses stream anymore for video delivery.  It stutters, is not smooth and quality pops in and out of HD continuously.

Is there any plans to upgrade this app that has been in beta forever?

Strange.  I use the Stream website every day on my Win10 Chrome computer.  It sounds like you have some kind of connection issue.

Where did the TV Guide go listing all the avaiable broadcast shows?  I have only an ESPN3 offering...?

I just use the Stream website to see all my channels.  What did you use the TV Guide for?

There is a website that should list all the channels you are subscribed for; is that what you are looking for?

I have the same problem.  Every month there seems to be a problem with Xfinity Stream.

So that workaround did not produce any different results. I've now had 3 different chat logs with 3 different support folks all of which have failed to solve the problem. Now i get to wait 24 hours for a higher tier of support to contact me, all while i can't use the service i'm paying for...... This is not a good look if you ask me.

To RobertWy

In my original post, I followed these instructions, several times and even rebooted, logged out, re-cleared my cache and deleted my history. The instructions are worthless and are NOT a solution. A couple of weeks ago everything worked perfectly. Not now though. Please remove the supposed "Problem solved". It is clearly not. Some HD channels work, others don't. Comcast/Xfinity needs to apply some serious technical resources to solve this issue. It has been going on for too long.

Same or similar issue here.

5 year old 17" Dell Inspiron Laptop

I3 CPU (dual core + hyper-threading)

AMD 4300 series discrete graphics

6GB RAM

Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 bluetooth 4.0

Windows 10 (fully updated)

Latest update of IE11, Chrome, Firefox browsers

Latest available updates of all drivers

Latest updates of Flash and Java

Don't recall when issue started, but two to three months ago seems about right.

I prefer IE11 over other browsers but loaded Chrome and Firefox to troubleshoot the issue.

Problem is most noticeable in IE11 and least noticeable in Firefox, but still noticeable enough to be an unpleasant viewing experience.

The issue presents itself as a halt or freeze of just the video (not the audio) at a one second interval then the video will skip frames to catch up with audio. In IE11 the video freeze will last almost a full second, whereas in Firefox the freeze is only around 2/10ths of a second (but still very noticeable). As noted in some of the above posts, this issue only happens with Xfinity Stream Website. It is not an issue with other streaming sources such as Netflix, Hulu, Broadcast Network sites, Youtube, etc.

Through trial and error, I think I have narrowed my problem down to an issue between Comcast's iteration of Flash Player used on the streaming site and my Bluetooth, which I use to broadcast my laptop audio to my external speakers.

Sometimes I can get a smooth video by going to the Flash Player Manager in the Windows Control Panel and  choosing "delete all site data and settings", "delete all audio and video license files" and "deauthorize this computer" and then restart the computer but that does not always work and will usually only work for the first video played. Next video, the problem is back.

If I turn off my Bluetooth radio during playback (using the Bluetooth button on the  notification panel) the video and audio will lock up (permanent pause). I can use the jump forward/back buttons but it will not play again without restarting the browser. If I disable my Bluetooth adapter through the Windows Device Manager and then try to play a video, it plays normally, but I'm stuck with cr*ppy laptop speakers and if I try to re-enable the Bluetooth Adapter after I've started the video, I get a BSOD with KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE.

I'm thinking maybe that the issue might be associated with the DRM in the Xfinity version of Flash Player. That would also explain why the commercials preceding some of the content play smoothly and the following video play with the chop. The commercials are unprotected media, whereas the videos are DRM protected. It might also explain the multiple monitors/graphics adapters problems. I'm figuring that Xfinity's version of Flash Player either has problems with recognizing legitimate external or multiple media devices like Bluetooth speakers or multiple graphics adapters, or the security in their player is dialed down so tight that it is purposefully downgrading or crippling the stream when it detects any of these "suspcious" devices because they might be trying to pirate the stream.

Strange. It sounds like you didn't read the post.

What kind of "connection issue" (more than likely a Comcast connection) would only screw up one streaming site out of dozens, especially considering it's Comcast's own freakin site.

Stream DVR doesn't record entire show

The cloud DVR function with Xfinity stream will not record a complete episode. For instance, it will only record 6 minutes of an hour long show, or 15 minutes of an NFL game.

Problem recurs on all recordings.

When I called tech support I was told it was a legal issue? If that were true, they would stop the service, not just truncate it.

Any help on here troubleshooting and resolving this?

All -

Thank you for reaching out here on the forums. This is a known issue with the Stream website, however, the Stream app should be working fine. We're working to get this resolved as soon as possible, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
