The cloud DVR function with Xfinity stream will not record a complete episode. For instance, it will only record 6 minutes of an hour long show, or 15 minutes of an NFL game.

Problem recurs on all recordings.

When I called tech support I was told it was a legal issue? If that were true, they would stop the service, not just truncate it.

Any help on here troubleshooting and resolving this?

they did not understand your issue. the problem is that sometimes the cloud DVR servers are too busy or you are out of tuners etc.  You know this is the issue if the home DVR recordings are just fine (full length).  are your home DVR recordings ok?

I get that error message on one channel and that's Fox.  Every other works fine as far as I can tell.  Very frustrating.

I have purchased the ability to Live Stream TV online but whenever I try, it only shows ESPN3, which isnt one of the channels that I paid for. What should I do?

Same or similar issue here.

5 year old 17" Dell Inspiron Laptop

I3 CPU (dual core + hyper-threading)

AMD 4300 series discrete graphics

6GB RAM

Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 bluetooth 4.0

Windows 10 (fully updated)

Latest update of IE11, Chrome, Firefox browsers

Latest available updates of all drivers

Latest updates of Flash and Java

Don't recall when issue started, but two to three months ago seems about right.

I prefer IE11 over other browsers but loaded Chrome and Firefox to troubleshoot the issue.

Problem is most noticeable in IE11 and least noticeable in Firefox, but still noticeable enough to be an unpleasant viewing experience.

The issue presents itself as a halt or freeze of just the video (not the audio) at a one second interval then the video will skip frames to catch up with audio. In IE11 the video freeze will last almost a full second, whereas in Firefox the freeze is only around 2/10ths of a second (but still very noticeable). As noted in some of the above posts, this issue only happens with Xfinity Stream Website. It is not an issue with other streaming sources such as Netflix, Hulu, Broadcast Network sites, Youtube, etc.

Through trial and error, I think I have narrowed my problem down to an issue between Comcast's iteration of Flash Player used on the streaming site and my Bluetooth, which I use to broadcast my laptop audio to my external speakers.

Sometimes I can get a smooth video by going to the Flash Player Manager in the Windows Control Panel and  choosing "delete all site data and settings", "delete all audio and video license files" and "deauthorize this computer" and then restart the computer but that does not always work and will usually only work for the first video played. Next video, the problem is back.

If I turn off my Bluetooth radio during playback (using the Bluetooth button on the  notification panel) the video and audio will lock up (permanent pause). I can use the jump forward/back buttons but it will not play again without restarting the browser. If I disable my Bluetooth adapter through the Windows Device Manager and then try to play a video, it plays normally, but I'm stuck with laptop speakers and if I try to re-enable the Bluetooth Adapter after I've started the video, I get a BSOD with KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE.

I'm thinking maybe that the issue might be associated with the DRM in the Xfinity version of Flash Player. That would also explain why the commercials preceding some of the content play smoothly and the following video play with the chop. The commercials are unprotected media, whereas the videos are DRM protected. It might also explain the multiple monitors/graphics adapters problems. I'm figuring that Xfinity's version of Flash Player either has problems with recognizing legitimate external or multiple media devices like Bluetooth speakers or multiple graphics adapters, or the security in their player is dialed down so tight that it is purposefully downgrading or crippling the stream when it detects any of these "suspcious" devices because they might be trying to pirate the stream.

When I use tv.xfinity.com to try to watch certain channels (mainly sports such as ESPN, ESPN2, ROOT, NBCSN), I get errors when I try to watch. First, it says it is having trouble streaming, then it says "This video cannot be played" and the error code is TVAPP-00206. On other channels, I have no problem streaming online. This is true for Safari on a Mac, and IE on a PC, and for two different user accounts (the only ones we have). works on my phones by not the laptop or desktop

I am now getting error 00206 all the time.  What is wrong and how can it be fixed.  In both browsers MS Edge and Google.  At first, it happened once in a while now it is everything.  Frustrated.

Xfinity has a sneaky way of quietly discontinuing service like the record feature from our computers.  I called Tech Support about this error code and was told they have no information on this error code.  Cleared cache, as suggested by this forum, and still does not work,  I suspect that they have discontinued this service but are "stealing" from us by not reducing our bills.  With so many choices for cable TV, I don't understand why Xfinity doesn't care about its customers.  Shame on you guys! But I will not renew my service.

Im feeling ike Comcast employees are not even checking this thread since nobody from Comcast has responded in such a long time.  Also, sinc eit is showing as "Reolved" even though it clearly IS NOT RESOLVED.  I think I will create a new thread and link to it here, so that everyone else with the same issue can post it there.

(Error TVAPP-00206)

Ive posted replies in another forum of an issue that appears to be happening to a lot of people.  Im unable to stream almost all channels (a few work - TNT, ABC).  Also noted that all of the "TVGO" channels seem to work, but the problem is that TVGO doesnt list ALL channels.

Ive tried on multiple browsers, tried clearing cookies, cache, history, even tried on multiple household PCs and it works on NONE of them, yet all of the same channels work fine on portable devices (Samsung tab & phones).  So, this is obviously tied to a windows desktop issue.  Everything worked perfectly fine a week or so ago, and ever since then it NEVER WORKS.  PLEASE HELP COMCAST!  Im paying for service that I am NOT receiving!

Customer service rep told me on the phone that they do not have an error code like the one we are receiving (Error TVAPP-00206) so she thought it was an internal error code produced from my desktop computer.  This is the second service they have offerred and now are currently denying or claiming ignorance of with no warning or explanation.   Tempts me to go back to rooftop antenna.
