Hi

 

Thanks for using the forums. At this time, from what I understand, the only devices that you are able to set recordings from is the DVR, and some model Roku's. I am not aware of any recent changes, however, I am going to do some research and I will reply with an update once I receive more information. Chat with you soon.

I don't know why you cannot see the screenshots in the very beginnign of the thread, but other users can see them.  In my original post I posted a screenshot of the first type of error I usually get, and in my second post in this thread I posted two more screenshots of the other type of error I get, when attempting to play live channels. 

For you reference, here are all the screenshots, again. 

 

Error type #1 on PC:  cannot enter the channel listing, when I click on "Watch TV online" form my online account.  I'm getting this error as we speak.

Error type #2 on PC:  Some days I am able to access the channel listing, and when I click on the play button of any live channel, I get one of the follower error messages:

On the android app, I get a similar screen to the type 2 error above, with the message:

"Playback Cannot Continue.  Subscription required"

 

As far as I know, I've answered all questions asked of me here.  I'm not sure what you were referring to.  What would you like to know?

 the customer has the instant TV subscription (no home X1 home equipment at all), but has Xfinity internet service. the subscription is for 2 tuner cloud DVR with 20 hours of recording time. without ability to hit record the cloud DVR would not work at all.

Xfinity Roku app no longer working

I've been using the Xfinity Roku app successfully for the past several months but suddenly it has stopped working.  I can open up and app, navigate to live TV but when I choose a channel to watch it dumps me back to the Roku home screen. The same goes when I try to watch on Demand or recorded programs. I have an Xfinity gateway and and X1 DVR that are working fine so I'm getting frustrated.

I appreciate your help.  I was able to record a few weeks ago on the ROKU Ultra.  Something changed recently.

Until a few days ago, when searching CNN or MSNBC would bring up a 'Channgel Connection' for each, now they are gone. What happened

I just tried to watch the first episode of Outlander and after I connected and hit watch now season 4-1, nothing happened.

hi, sorry to hear you are having problems. Do you have home X1 set top boxes on your account? are you using the Roku at home while connected to your own home Xfinity wifi (not the xfinitywifi SSID)?

Xfinity stream on Roku won’t play some programs on demand

I have been using a Roku 3 to stream xfinity on my TV. I have never had “the box” connected. I can stream live and on demand using the Roku with the exception of 2 programs: 48 hrs and Dateline. When I try to watch these programs on demand I get kicked out of the xfinity app. I can watch them on my ipad and laptop though. All apps and devices updated and restarted.

 

Any ideas?

more people needs to report this issue, and tell them to open a ticket


the cloud DVR only has the last 60 hours recroded. The home DVR is limited to space on the hard drive. 


My cloud DVR only has about 10 hours on it, and the shows that are missing were from 2 days ago, so even if there was 60 hours on it those would have been among the newest so would not have been dropped anyway.

use the online chat and tell them about it and even give them some links to the post that are on this site...they will do a few thing with the account and hours and hours later stuff was working again....sooo thts what i did

Yep, as I said I have an X1 dvr and I’m connected to to WiFi of my xfinity gateway.

I can't follow. you said first episode. do you mean season 1 episode 1? what does 'now season 4-1 mean? did you see an error number/message? were there blinking dots? does live TV play normally? did you try playing another on-demand title for a test to see if it played normally?
