I purchased a ROKU Ultra a couple of weeks ago when the new model was available. I was initially able to schedule recording from the ROKU, but I no longer can. I read that setting recording through the web site was disabled because of an on-going patent issue with TIVO.
Is it no longer possible to record a show by any method?

verified they took away the roku's ability to record (didn't know) and the ability on roku to modify series recordings.
That is very disappointing. I would not have purchased the ROKU if I knew it would not include those features. In addition, I would not have selected Comcast's Stream product.

do you have the instant TV (no set top box in home)? if so all of your stream use should have the record button. I have DVR set top boxes in the home.
I do not have a comcast DVR. I had one in the past. Neither the web site nor the ROKU app display a record button.
I am currently using my own modem and router. As a result anytime I use the steaming site I am detected as away from home so I can only view the go channels or things on my DVR. I only recently learned about the ROKU beta program and that Comcast plans to charge for ROKU when it is out of beta.
Do does that mean that the ROKU app will be able to stream all channels at all times, even if it is detected as away from home?
Comcast employee told me live stream was NOT availible outside the USA. Not what I was told when I signed up for service. AND I did explain to the employee at the Xfinity store on Lancaster drive in Salem Oregon that I was a snowbird and would be in Mexico for most of the winter and was told there would be no problem recieving livestream in Mexico????

one last question... do you have a smart device (iOS or android) and tried the Xfinity Stream TV app?

last question first, no it does not. for first part would you run the Xfinity My Account app, select the Internet tab and select the modem shown. does the serial number shown match the modem/gateway's HFC MAC address?

the providers don't allow streaming outside of USA.
First, thanks for the multiple replies/help. 
I tried the iOS Stream app, and it did not include the ability to record a show in the future or to record a show I was currently watching.
Good thought.
To summarize, I cannot schedule a single recording or a series recording from any of the following methods:
1) web site
2) iOS app
3) ROKU

The ID on my modem matches my account. It always did. I have contacted support many times before and they always give up and just say I need comcast equipment for it to work.
So the Roku app is no better than site streaming so no point for me.
