Xfinity stream
Re: XFINITY Instant TV Beta
When do you think the Xfinity Stream Beta app (that is for Roku) will be changed to the xfinity Stream. Xfinity stream app is much better then the Xfinity Stream Beta app
Re: Streaming TV error message: (Error TVAPP-00206)
Re: FOX NEWS not working
I recently started having issues with Fox news. The screen freezes and the audio breaks up. It is unwatchable. All the other channels are fine. Someone on comcast is practicing political censorship.
Streaming Error (Error ftde.provision.accountMismatch)
I can't stream on xfinity online from my laptop. I'm using safari and chrome, same error. Also, I cleared cookies and cache, and I still get the same error.
I get prompted to "log out and log back in," and the xfinity page states it will fix the problem, but that isn't true. I still get the mismatch error.
Any solutions? I'd appreciate the help!
Re: Streaming TV error message: (Error TVAPP-00206)
Still getting the TVAPP-00206 error message after almost 4 months in NJ. It is sporadic. Now, maybe because Xfinity is working on the problem for 110+ days, getting random freezes that don't ALWAYS go to the error message or the we're having trouble connecting screen. Yesterday last half hour of an hour show totally out of dialogue sync, like an old japanese horror flic. Error message TVAPP-00206 3 times during the day. You are not imagining. I have had at least 6 instances a week for 20 weeks. It's approching theft of services on the part of Comcast. BTW, I do watch majority of my 'TV' on my laptop.

I just got basic cable today and I was wondering if Xfinity stream is extra or is it free
it is included as a free benefit when you have X1. If you have a DVR in your home subscription, then you also have a limited cloud DVR to be able to voew the last 60 hours recorded.

no date is announced. portable devices have more computing power, memory, and do not require output of video/audio. the beta (on Roku) is awesome for the device capabilities, at least IMO.

do you have more than one set top box? If so, do they all have the issue on the same channel? as a test, run the streaming website for same channel or use a smart device (iphone or android) and stream same channel. does it do the same thing?

usually just clearing cookies and cache fixes it. would you try and let me know?
Why can't I watch the program?
I have been watching "Yellowstone" online every Thursday (it first airs on Wednesday), but this week I can't watch it at all. The "Episodes" link appears briefly and then disappears so it's impossible to get to the program. What are you doing? Will this happen to other shows as well? What am I paying for?

when you go to the web site do you input the name of the series after clicking on the 'magnifying glass'? do many titles with 'yellowstone' appear on your screen? the single word series name yellowstone has episode 5 for 7/25 showing. does that show up for you? if not try deleting your cookies and cache (for that web page). working now?
Re: Why can't I watch the program?
Nothing works. I click on the icon for the TV show like I always do, then the picture of Costner appears with the "Episodes" link above it, like always, then that link suddenly disappears, which has never happened until this week. The link is still there for other shows I have watched in the past, so the problem seems to be only with "Yellowstone." Thanks for trying to help.

Download DVR recordings
I got an e-mail with "things you can do with the Xfinity Stream app." It said you could download DVR recordings to watch off-line. It referenced a menu icon in the upper left, and I don't see one. I went to "recordings" under "saved" and selected a program, but I see no download button. I access Xfinity Stream on a laptop. Is this something that is available only on a smart phone?
Re: Why can't I watch the program?
I'll give that a try. It's just so annoying when something I've always done can no longer be done and there's no good reason given.

you are using the Xfinity stream TV website not app. the app runs on iPhones and iOS devices and android devices.

So why does Xfinity offer a feature for smart phones which isn't available for computers? I can't afford a smart phone, it's all I can do to afford the Xfinity cable. Another disappointment from Comcast.

apparently it has to do with DRM (digital rights management) enforced by the providers of the programming. sorry you can't download on a desk/laptop.
Need Help
I am streaming on my computer, but since yesterday, every thing keeps going on fast forward mode, i'm not sure how to explain this, but both live TV and Xfinity on demand keep playing really fast, i don't know how to fix this
