Hello all,

I fully understand that there are a lot of customers who would like to get XFINITY Stream App available on Amazon Fire Stick platform. However, at this point, we don't have any available information. Please note that Fire Stick is not our product and in order to support it - we need to establish an agreement with Amazon.

- The XFINITY Help & Support Forums have policies and guidelines that are the same for each user. If any user violates our rules it can cause a potential ban from this forum. "In Home" blocked on line watching live TV and Favorite shows

When I travel I watch my favorite shows on-line, but more and more Xfinity is blocking the shows I watch.  I now cannot watch many of my favorite shows unless I am at home.  As well I used to have all the channels from home available to me on-line  to watch live, now that is also blocked.  I am paying to watch the shows I want to watch whether at home or while traveling.  If I am blocked from that what is the point of Xfinity for me?

Any news? We have also had the same issue. I assume we are all trying to watch Raw and Smackdown? I can't tell if it is something with WWE or USA or our computers. Only able to pull it up with an Android, not an iPhone.

that might be fixed by deleting the app on the iPhone and then reinstalling the app and logging in to the app.

you are able to watch all of your linear (numbered) channels while at home and connected to your home interent. when away from home, you may have some numbered channels (some NBC channels for example that are part of the Comcast family) and all of the TV go channels. Any completed recordings will be available as well as thousands of on-demand programs.

I have also seen this problem, have discussed it with Xfinity, and after months there is still no resolution.  I have NO problem with any other streaming source, just Xfinity.  On the same system, I have also seen it happen with both an Intel graphics device/driver and Nvidia, so it is not graphics device related.  It has something to do with the combination of Adobe and Windows 10.  My  work around was to write a custom script that resets the graphics device driver when I see this happening (usually once per day, and always after switching users).  This solves the problem, but really annoying I have to write a script to make such an expensive service work properly.  Really disappointed with Xfinity and wish I had an alternative to them in my community.  Adobe Flash is an obsolete video service ... very frustrated paying so much for old-tech that does not work without a workaround.  Kind of like having Inet/video service in the 1990s.

I care nothing about thousands of channels that are of no interest to me.  I care about the channels that our in my package that I pay for every month that I can no longer watch online, that I could watch just 2 weeks ago and now I can't.  Now I have around 15 channels offered for live viewing where I had over 60 before.  Also, the programs that I normally watch are now being blocked  with "in home" viewing only blocking them.  One night I am watching them without a problem the next night they have turned into "in home" viewing only.  I am not going to be paying Xfinity a monthly fee to watch programs I am not interested in and the ones I like blocked.

For about 6 weeks, my tv hasn’t worked properly.  If watching tv channels, every few minutes, it freezes for about 45 seconds and then starts again.  At times, it displays the message “Let’s try this again” and starts over.  When streaming, it will freeze and start the movie over so I have to fast forward to where it stopped.  This has made watching tv almost unbearable.  I have contacted your office on many occasions and haven’t even gotten an estimated time that this problem will be fixed.  I pay an average of $400 per month for service.  Please give us a time frame!  I also expect Comcast to apply a credit for the time I haven’t been able to watch tv without interruption.  I’m about ready to change providers.

what device/operating system and version are you using to use the Xfinity X1 streaming website? do you receive the channels that are missing on your home X1 connected TV? have you tried using another device (smart phone or tablet) connected to your home network? are you conecting via wifi and if so are you on your own wifi SSID (named address of your wifi)?

Hello myomega, I am happy to assist you with clearing up this error message. To better assist you can you please send me a private message with your full name, and account number by clicking on my name (ComcastAmir) and then "private message me"?

I found a workaround. Instead of using the USA network website, go through xfinity. That allows you to watch all your channels. I was able to access USA live TV this way.

This is an interesting idea, but if you're open to feedback you need to keep a few things in mind...

1. A cloud based DVR is a WONDERFUL idea and should be the norm, but 20 hours is ridiculous. If you're doing this with shows stored back in your data centers, you keep one copy of the show, and an index for each user's account. It costs no more storage to keep these recordings around for more than one person. Make this more attractive, put a 1TB cap on the DVR for sanity if you have to (you really don't, storage is relatively cheap these days) but make it "virtually unlimited."

2. This ignoring Android TV stuff just has to stop. The Nvidia Shield is one of the most popular streaming boxes out there now. I can install Xfinity Stream on my Pixel 2, on my Pixelbook, and on my ancient Nexus 7...but I can't install it on my Android TV device, where I would most prefer to use it?

3. As some others have mentioned, for the love of all that is good, please don't limit our show and channel choices. If we can get it on the traditional DVR, let me have it on my cloud DVR/Instant viewing. If I have HBO, let me watch my HBO on it (and ahem, again, let Xfinity be an authorized provider on Android TV devices for HBO Go! 2 years now...at least...)

I especially agree with this. I don't understand why I can use the XFinity Stream app on my Pixel 2 or Samsung tablet, but cannot install it on any other Android-based device, such as NVidia Shield or Amazon Fire. Yeah, I know some people have been successful 'side-loading', but I haven't, and honestly, side loading is not a solution.

If a product works on Android, it should work on ALL android. That is like saying I can install Office on my ASUS Windows 10 computer, but not my Acer Windows 10 machine, even though both are Windows 10 machines.

I just updated my wireless router and now I'm having this issue. It is very frustrating! Anyone who can offer a solution to this would be my hero. I'm going to try to call and do a full system reset, but so far I haven't heard of anyone that this successfully worked.

I am using my Microsoft Surface Pro Laptop.  I am not using my home WIFI because if I was at home I would not need to watch TV on my WIFI, I would use my Cable and TV.  I travel, I am out of town a lot and when I am out of town I would like to watch my favorite shows without all these games that it seems Xfinity plays.  All I know is that slowly XFINITY has been blocking all the shows I like.  Not all at once but one after another.  I am half way through watching Master Chef and all of a sudden from one week to the next I am blocked with an "IN HOME"  It says: Some networks only allow their content to be viewed when you are on your home WIFI.  Look to "TVGO" for options to watch anywhere anytime."  They do not tell you what is "TVGO" or what to do there.  And why in the world do I have channels one day and then the next the policy changes?  I also have11 channels I can watch now LIVE whereby last week I could watch all may channels that I am paying for over 60.  I am tired of this one minute I am watching a channel next minute I am blocked from watching the channel.  What does anyone care anyway if I am watching something at home or while traveling?  I am paying for the same amount of channels

One more thing.  So I get this Xfinity e-mail  with a "XFINITY.COM TIPS"  So I click on the Stream App. I get "Watch live TV on the go"  Step 1.  Tap the menu icon on the top left corner. No Change.  All this stuff to waste my time jumping through hoops to get what was promised to me back.  This is no way to do business!

would you use the Xfinity My Account app and touch the internet tab and compare the 'serial number' of the shown modem to your actual new modem's serieal number? matches?

the providers (like Fox) for MasterChef have restricted Comcast from distributing the programming except for viewing live in the customer's home. you can however record programs and when the recording is complete either stream the episodes or download to watch with no need of internet later. I looked at my TVgo channels and don't see Fox (entertainment) being a provider.
