does the xfinity app show up in the Samsung store? have you made sure your TV firmware doesn't have an update to install? Have you contacted Samsung support to ask about available of the Xfinity stream TV app?

yes, it was all very confusing...i updated the firmware and it said there were no more updates but the firmware version installed did not match the info on the Xfinity site...neither Samsung nor Xfinity could help...so I went back to Best Buy and bought a TV I have never heard of, TCL....and it was a breeze to download...I think the key is to get a Roku TV.....the app was available thru the Roku channels...and it works perfectly...plus the TV was $80 less

have you tried using the flash-integrated and sandboxed Chrome browser? the PC may be running out of resources. Have you tried same program using an SD feed to see if it works better?

The Roku streaming of Xfinity only works without a fee until they finish the beta. After that it will be $10 a month, EVEN THOUGH YOU OWN THE ROKU. Better to stream via one of Comcast's devices. At least if it breaks, they owe you a new one.

exactly ... amd good point about just keeping a Comcast device if they are going to charge you $10 anyway

OR ... they could let us stream like we always did through URL not App

starting to weigh the merits of streaming subscriptions only and extremely limited Comcast service ..... not there yet though

sort of - it will be $10 a month unless you can convince COmcast that your primary device is the Roku in which case you might save ... wait for it ...   about $2 per month ... what a deal for content we've already paid for through devices we already own over Internet service we are already paying Comcast for ..

I can't believe like you that I can stream TV on my mobil devices but not my LG TV.  Who's fault is it? LG or Comcast? My TV is new and I'm very mad at this whole problem. You can hook up your mobil to your TV and view tv that way, but what a pain. I have had Comcast forever and LG products for a long time, but like shopping at Kmart, it might just be time for a change.

Unfortunately, we currently do not support the Amazon Fire TV Stick. Until we are able to establish some sort of agreement with them, we will not have any further information as to when we will begin supporting it. Thanks for your feedback.

use of a chromecast device with a desk/laptop is grandfathered in and free. it does use the streaming TV website. there is no charge for using the chromecast with a lap/desktop computer

Well that was also one of my objection to their new website. I mean they used flash which is well known for serious security issues. Why design and implement a new website using unsafe technology that has pretty much reached eol. I forget when the last security patch is scheduled (2019?) but they really should have used html5 or something else. Anyway maybe they are working on a more modern technology that will support linux and at least alternative like amazon work fine with linux for streaming.

Streaming my DVR on PC skips on random recordings

It seems to be 5-15 seconds skip, if i rewind that same protion is missing.  Nothing to do with latency.  It doesnt happen on all DVR recordings, but when it does happen it ruins the recording when random portions are missing.

It really is shabby treatment of 20 to 22 percent of Xfinity customers. Full payment is required but, we get partial service when Linux is not supported. You can't tell me they can't afford it. Xfinity gets between 150 and 300 a month from their customers.

there is a known issue that affects random customers for random amounts of time. It appears that during peak times some servers are at over capacity for programs to be recorded. The errors cause the servers to move customers around to less 'full' servers over time.

Windows 10 OS - browser is SlimJet (Chrome)   This is most likely a browser problem (Flash??)  but the lasck of further info on the error makes determining what that might be problematic.

HI I'm experiencing pauses every 2 seconds in video movies on xfinity , but no audio issues.  Did you find a resolution to your problem? I am also in a suburb north of Chicago.

I have the stream app on my phone.
Works fine. Also if you have a Roku and if you have Showbox or terrarium TV on your phone you can cast from your phone through your TV and watch a wide arrange of movies and TV shows. You have to download "All Screen" from Roku store and from the Google play store for you phone. Must have on both devices.

Why does OnDemand work, but DVR does not?
