depends on your resources and PC capabilities to render as well as your connection. try ethernet to rule out wifi pass-thru data limits. stop all other running processes if possible (programs).

In addition to the TV streaming never working since the day it rolled out initially. Comcast continues to use the flash player that most browsers have deactivated by default and can only be turned on with dire security warnings. I am pretty sure most browser makers do not plan to have any flash support for much longer. Well I long ago gave up on the streaming service it never has worked and is not likely to anytime soon. However I was using the online listings until a few minutes ago when It refused to even let me look at the listings unless I turn on the VERY HIGH security risk adobe flash player. Flash is being discontinued. It is no more. Browsers are phasing it out and supporting it less and less. Almost every security expert out there recommends against turning on flash in your browser.

if you keep updated on non-chrome adobe flash installations you might be ok. I use chrome and it has integrated sand-boxed flash that is managed by chrome.

It is windows 8.1 chrome browser. At the time flash must have been turned on or it would not have worked as comcast is still using that discontinued product. This is an ongoing problem that cannot be pinned on my computer. It affects any computer and any OS I have ever used. The streaming just does not work. In the past 3 years it has been usable for less than half the time. I have completely given up n it and started using a cable box and that has all kinds of problems such as: a listing menus that wastes almost all of the screen on things that are not the listings and having just three short lines for the listing portion. The on demand content is completely different than that which is available online. There is almost no free on demand content.. Navigation is extremely difficult and time consuming as there is no back button and the entire on demand section has to be exited with an exit button. In other words you cannot just back up from a show listing and then navigate to anther listing. You have to exit entirely and start from the beginning and navigate all the way back in. It is absurd and the worst cable box design I have ever seen.

windows 8.1 is deprecated. try to run chrome Version 67.0.3396.99 (Official Build)  (current) and turn on flash (it is sandboxed). working?

The entire xfinity website is horrible. Amazing as they are in the content business but it takes forever for their website to load, it keeps opening a new page on every click and it is so poorly laid out, cannot find anything easily. Xfininty is horrible all around.

time to 'load' depends a lot on your computer's resources and processor. mine loads quickly and then you select what you want to do and it is super fast. I'm a customer like you.

I thought this was just a glitch this past week: "Well that didn’t go as planned... We’re having trouble playing this recording. We checked for this program On Demand but, unfortunately, it is not available. Please try watching another program." But this has been going on for well over a week now, that I cannot watch any recorded programs at home on any mobile devices.

did you try power cycling the device? (not just lock/unlock) did you try removing the app and reinstalling the app?

Fox news is blocked or interrupted by Comcast every live broadcast every day. . I watch other news on xfinity at the same time and never see this happen. It cannot be coincidence. Tonight I will copy at the same time on 2 different screens first CNBC, CBS, NBC on the other FOX Continuous on the other. will a link to the results tomorrow

do you have more than one set top box? if so, same on both at same time? have you tried playing the stream website or use the stream app on a smart device to see if the problem is also there?

Xfinity Stream is not available at the moment. Please try back soon. (Error TVAPP-00115)

I tried Chrome, firefox and internet explorer, none work. Deleted cookies, made sure flash was enabled, nothing.

call 800-Comcast and select billing. ask the agent to verify that the username that you are using to login is connected to your current address/account.

I'm having this same issue.  Flash is installed and enabled.  I get this same issue on both Chrome and Brave (new browser, look it up)

I also get the problem using the xfinity stream app on 2 different cell phones, a J7 Sky Pro, and a Galaxy S8+, both on my local wifi- Where my Comcast internet is installed.

TVAPP-00203 is one error I get, also got a ftde.xact.3370.1000937 code when using brave.  Both hint that I need to allow protected content to my browser, but I get the impression there is an authentication issue with my account that I sign in with.

this forum area is for discussing streaming website. for using the smart device (android) there is a stream TV app area.  what is your operating system on your PC? what version of chrome are you using. do you get to a menu (successful login/activation)?

Last night I started getting the best reception I have ever had  on Fox news. Received a call from Comcast today asking if things are better. I hope it  stays that way

Poor video quality when streaming via website and no Dolby Digital sound.

Hi,  I am new to Xfinity TV service but a big draw to me making the switch we being able to stream my TV to my computers.   I tried watching serveral programs this weekend and the picture quality was very poor.  It was definately watchable but it did not look like HD content in most cases.  I was watching HD live streams as well as things I have recorded on my DVR.  I have gigspeed internet and I am running a modern computer with a discrete graphics card so that should not be an issue.   I also was not able to get Dolby Digial sound from the the streaming portal also When I was streaming Netflix or Amazon the quality looked great so I do not think I have an issue with my setup. .

I called Comcast Tech support and they kept telling me to go to the Google App store or the Apple App store and download the app.   I kept trying to explain to them I was using Windows 10 PC so that was not an option but I could not make her understand.  I kept asking her to elevate me to l2 or l3 but that was useless so I gave up.  She ended the conversation with telling me to go to Xfinity.com/app and download the app for my computer.

Does someone know what quality the X1 Portal can stream and what audio formats it will support? I assume this might be somewhat limited with Comcast using Flash as their player.

error code: ftde.provision.accountMismatch

I am getting a never ending loop of this error message when I try to stream from my computer.  I spent a good amount of time on the phone this morning with Xfinity and the issue is still not resolved.

I have tried multiple browsers. Not fixed yet

I have the same issue and have no idea where to turn as well.  Seems to be far beyond what phone support can solve for you over the telephone.  From what I can gather it seems to be an issue with multiple xfinity/comcast accounts and them getting confused on xfinity's back end.

When I log into my xfinity account and hit the pull down under the account number, I can see four accounts that I've apparently had at one time or another.  I once had a number of active ones all linked there.  Now all but one of them is supposedly inactive.  You can see what I am talking about on the attached screen-shot

I don't know how to unwind the mess.

please see this LINK for best answer. it has to do with having at least 2 active accounts. From the reading it appears that a comcast employee can assist.  I have escalated your issue to the Comcast Team available to these forums. Check back often for a reply in this thread from a Comcast Official Employee.

Sound Dies

When I watch 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, the sound always dies about 10-15 mins before the end. This time, it was a three hour episode, and it died 1/3 of the way in (2 hours). So Now there's an hour I can't watch. Any ideas? If I turn on closed-captions it does show text, but no sound is heard. Other shows do not have this issue as I watch a lot of TV when I work from home most days.

not sure why the android TV won't support it, but did you try using another attached device like a DVD player's HBO app?
