If you have a tv package, streaming from the web site or app is free

Try uninstall/reinstall.
Why are Days of our lives and General Hospital no longer streaming ?

Try again, at first I didn't get the episode tab for any show I viewed info on. After a while they all started working again.
Yes, and it still does it. Since I posted this last, I have watched Netflix/Hulu with no problems at all. Once I access the Xfinity website & try to stream tv it shuts off after 30-40 mins. *sigh*

I will assume from this reply that you have your PC set up to stay on at least an hour or more and you still have the problem with Comcast.
Hopefully someone from Comcast will answer your post with an explanation.
Same error. Please PM help.
It only seems to happen on my laptop when watching remotely on my home network. There is a splitter in the wall that splits the incoming signal to three different outlets in the home.
We have XFINITY in Minnesota - with an X1 box and DVR.
We are now also living part-time in Florida (that rented apartment has AT&T, I believe).
We can use the XFINITY Stream app on our ipads to see saved content via the internet.
We are wondering if there is a way to see our DVR-ed content on the smart TVs in Florida over the internet.
The main TV is an LG (don't know the actual model offhand) and another is a Samsung.
The Samsung has the XFINITY Ultra HD app but I don't think that that is the same.
We are trying to watch our saved shows off the DVR over the internet on a smart TV and not sure the options.
Thanks!

You can't use the app to mirror/cast to a tv, streaming is blocked if you do. You can mirror/cast using a pc and the streaming web site.
Hi PatriciaWynn, when you log into the app all of your subscribed to channels should come up there. Are you looking for a specific title?
How can I cancel a scheduled program on xstream?
I don't know if I have X1. This board kinda came up by default. I just got Comcast/Xfinity when I moved two days ago. I had U-Verse at the old place. I had an Apple TV box on HDMI2 on the TV. HDMI1 was U-Verse. I could open iTunes on my computer, switch to HDMI2 on the TV and watch a movie stored on my PC on the TV in the living room. My question is, how do I do that with this new service? Everything is WiFi. The gateway (?) talks to the TV in the bedroom, my computer connects to both of my printers wirelessly, I can watch TV through the browser on my PC, and I can watch shows and movies through the app on my iPhone. The one thing I can't figure out how to do is watch a movie (.mp4 file) that's on my computer on the TV. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Ever since xf removed recording controls from the app and web site, I believe the only way to modify/cancel a recording is by using your cable box.
Just so I understand the words that are coming out of your mouth...
* I need a Chromecast (or similar) device for the TV
* On the PC, use the XFINITY Stream Portal
* Throw the Chrome browser to the TV
Do I have that right?
And that works outside of the home network?

Yes, chromecast or just a hdmi cable between tv and pc with the XFINITY Stream Portal. Since your not on your home network you will be limited to the tv go channels and on demand that is "available out of home"
