Re: Ad Issue during Video Playback on http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/

Hi All,

I am also an IT person. I have discovered that when the commercial loop starts, hitting the escape key (esc upper left hand corner of keyboard) seems to help to get you out of the endless commercial loop. You still have to watch an insane amount of commercials (maybe 10), but at least only once. This is when you can take off your makeup, shave your face, whatever it is that you do when time permits.

The "Last Ship" episode (El Toro) would take me back to where the show left off when the commercial break started. The "Castle" episode would not. Go figure, still looking at it. The "Castle" episode would let me use the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to move the episode forward to the point that I was watching when it hit the commercial loop.

Oddly enough, sometimes it woud try to show another few commercials in full screen. I was able to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to power past them. Something off with timing of the show and the commercials. An endless Do loop.

Anyway, keep an eye on where your episode is at on the scroll bar, when a commercial break starts, press the Escape key (esc). If at the end of the one time commercial break, you do not pick up at the point that you left off, use the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to fast forward to that point. If commercials break in while in full screen mode, use the scroll bar to power past them until you resume at the point that the episode left off.

This worked for me, hope that it helps others.
