Good point on the likelihood of you buying a product advetised this way. Looking over past posts, what's the common denominator of this looping commerical issue other that it only happens to Comcast customers? All of the shows are current, popular shows. Shows that people look forward all week to viewing the most current episode. Last weekend I power watched Jericho, a great show but long canceled. Not one looping commercial incident the entire day. Reasonable amount of commercial breaks.
Last night I tried to watch one episode of "The Last Ship". After viewing the Geico commercial 25 times, I gave up. Let's say 9,999 people did the same thing. Comcast is running to Geico saying "Your commercial was viewed 250,000 times! We have to charge you more because so many of our customers are viewing your commercials." Little does Geico know that only 10,000 people viewed their commercial and that every one of us have vowed to go without insurance rather than become their customer?
Comcast is making money from us, making money from Geico (and others) and Geico is clueless. It is time to start contacting the companies whose commercials are being looped this way. Comcast is a monopoly thanks to our government. We all know that we really have very little choices in replacing theim with another company. They do not care what we think. Look at the lack of response to this problem.
Geico and others need to know that they should take their advertising dollars somewhere other than Comcast. If enough companies know what Comcast is doing, maybe then we will see this "problem" fixed. Give up contacting Comcast! Make a list of the companies that are victims of this looping commercial "problem". Contact them and let them know how you have been victimized by this looping commercial "issue" and how you now feel about their product.
