I found that the only thing which helped was completely reinstalling my computer from scratch. At first I uninstalled and reinstalled the component for watching (the browsers, the browser plug-ins, the main video processing software (silverlight and Adobe)), but nothing helped. Something had simply told my hardware to NOT process the video feed properly.
After a complete reinstallation of my Vista operating system, there is little to no trouble watching the videos any more. I would not advise this for everyone, especially if it is only error messages they are getting, but it worked for me.
