I recently had the same problem.  Was watching a CNN program "On Demand" one day and the next day could still get "On Demand" but instead of going right to the program when I clicked it, the process of switching would lag and I'd get a message to call Xfinity, unplug the unit for a minute, and/or go to Comcast.com/help.  I also had messages on my account online that warned of a Comcast outage in my area.  Nevertheless, I wanted to know if my problem was unique. So first one repairman tried the usual fix, a new box, and new connectors, still the same.  He left and returned with another repairman and they proceeded to replace ALL the cable everywhere, add new connectors again, new splitter, and finally out to the pole.  Same thing happening only now it states "BUY" when I try on demand like I have NO subscription for any of it even regular TV shows "On Demand."  I felt sorry for the repairmen because I believe it's a glitch in the code.  Of course they can send hit after hit like the "refresh" tab on my laptop works,  but if the code is wrong, I'll still end up with "BUY" instead of "WATCH."

 

So Comcast you might wanna look at the code someone typed in for all of us when we ordered our subscriptions.  Because it either changed or someone changed it so we are no longer allowed to use and view what we're PAYING FOR!  .I have one more thing to say, and that is if you can't fix something like this, why is we're supposed to trust that you can provide security for our homes?

I cannot play my xfinity tv.  It keeps showing error 422.  What is error 422?  My laptop meets all of the requirements.  I have troubleshot every possible thing.  Am I missing a step?

All of a sudden I don't get some of the channels on the TVs using the converter boxes.  it started this afternoon in Tucson.

Yesterday I got another replacement DVR from the Comcast Service Center, this time a DCX3400. I am happy to say that DVR Manager works with this DVR. The previous DVR must have been faulty.

When I try to watch movies online from Xfinity On Demand's website, it says I can't watch without a subscription and takes me to a non-functional link for further information. Here's the message I receive: 

 

Subscription Required

A subscription is required to watch this program.

Please call 1-800-COMCAST or visit xfinity.com/tv-movies to subscribe.

 

 

Help appreciated.

No problem, just click on his name (you'll see it and all other Comcast Employee's in red) which will take you to a page titles "About ComcastDaniel" and if you scroll towards the bottom of the page there will be a link "Send this user a private message" just click on that and I suggest you include a link to this thread since there's more than one person here complaining about the same problem which hopefully will add a little weight to getting it fixed.

 

For the benefit of everyone else in the forum and anyone who may read this thread, please post back with the results i.e. if your problem was fixed.

Thanks. I have tried on multiple browsers. Flash is up to date and judging by other posts, blaming the user (browser, version of flash, etc) is just distraction to ignore the fact that the one thing they made sure worked is ads Stuff like this is one of the reasons piracy thrives. It's sad that it is easier for a person watching a pirated version of a show to watch than paying subscribers. Ironically there are less ads on the pirated versions. I doubt I will be able to watch Orphan Black anytime soon because the tv VOD is too choppy and web version just shows me same commercials and To Go App is the worst piece of software ever....but the ads work so all is good with Comcast I suppose. I miss the startup company that tried harder. When I first had Comcast back in '94 I would actually see credits ob my bill for outages I did not even know occurred. Now I get outages and broken features daily and bills that seem to escalate constantly. Monopolies suck for this very reason.

The same "Error 511" appears whenever we attempt to watch Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta and that' from any season.

How do I correct error 422

Errot 422 I cannot stream video from Xfinity TV over my computer any longer.

 Suddenly Im getting error 422 on all movie channels I pay for.  I have HBO and when I try to stream anything over HBO I get Video can not be accessed Error 422.   There is no place that tells you what error 422 is   If you call tech support Internet they say we dont handle that.  The TV deptment says we dont handle that  and Billing says we dont handle that and when you ask them where to go for help they say the other departments who then point you back to the dept that sent you there.  Its a wonderful and time consuming journey just to watch TV where I paying a good buck for much of which i watch over my computer.   Who do I go to and how can I fix error 422.  And really dont want someone to say, its something you need to talk to Microsoft about becuase they tell you oh no talk to xfinity and comcast.    HELP!!!

Because this issue has been going on for years, I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that Comcast is getting a little $omething extra for stalling the programs and repeating the ads.  A lot of people posted exactly what was requested of them on this thread, and yet there is no solution.  But then again, I refer back to my first sentence.


I have spent too much time over the years explaining to their tech people about issues such as this that are never resolved.  And as long as Comcast continues to have its way with the Legislature as they continue to take over all forms of broadcast media, I do not expect a solution to this problem...ever.

Went to the geek squad and the just checked to make sure the date amd time on the computer was correct... that immediately fixed the error! Hope this works for you.

Error 520?

Hi,

I am visiting London and would like to not miss my favorite shows.  I'm trying to watch some t.v. videos online but keep getting the 520 error message.  Can anyone tell me what this message means?
